Interview with Hubert Konczal - Virtual Esport LMU League

Hello Hubert ! Thank you for participation in our first LMU interview for our league.

Just to make a small presentation:

This is one of our Le Mans Ultimate drivers in Virtual Esport LMU League who is presenting outstanding for the moment and taking the lead after the 4-th Race, we may say.

Hubert, could you say few words about yourself also ? Where are you from, how old are you. From how many years you are on SIM racing ?

Hubert : Hello, so as you already mentioned I'm Hubert Konczal and I come from Poland. Racing was my passion since I was a little kid but never had a chance to actually race untill last year when I started my story with SIM racing around end of September but it became more serious around February this year. At the moment I'm 20 years old and I just started attending university.

Virtual Esport : This is impressive! Only for so short time, you achieved such high level ?

Hubert : I wouldn't say it is a very high level as I'm still far off with pace considering Esport level but on the other hand I'm proud of my self for what I achieved in this period of time. I'm hoping in the next year I can catch up to the fastest guys in the game as the faster you get it is harder to improve.

Virtual Esport : Well, your target is the highest one

We can only imagine what you could achieve in 1 year. How do you like our actual league ? Do you have any further wishes as new features or changes that could be done with the idea of course that this is a very new league ?

Hubert : The league is great considering it is the first edition. I was in several of those and hats off to you and your team for pulling it off so good. My only concern might be lack of live broadcast from trackside with maybe a little bit of commentary? Aside from that I'm not lacking anything maybe aside from multiclass to make things a little bit more interesting for the viewers as it provides more action!

Virtual Esport : Thank you for the good words and yes, we are considering this with the live broadcasting and commentator. Multiclass is coming also ! We see that your main car is the Porsche 911. But did you main other cars GT3 also ? Are you driving Hypercars as well ?

Hubert : At the moment I'm not driving Hypercars as I focus on pushing my limits in GT3 but whenever I end up in the pace range I want to be in I might try other car classes as well. Porsche is the main car at the moment yes but I don't mind driving other GT3 cars. When I started my "carrier" I was driving BMW mostly as it's very stable construction and very strong so I would say 1/3 of my time in game was with BMW.

Virtual Esport : I understand very well. The good, old BMW, versatile for everything

I'm certain you are watching also WEC and F1. Do you have some favorite pilots from there ?

Hubert : Yes I'm watching F1 for quite a long time and I'm a fan of Max Verstappen for quite some time (even before he was a world champion). About WEC I can't tell I'm watching it too much I definitely watch or at least try to follow the 24h of Le Mans aside from that I'm mostly watching highlights and I think you might guess who is my favorite driver there

Virtual Esport : Robert Kubica ?

Hubert : You got it right I believe he might have dominated in F1 if not for his fatal crash during rally.

Virtual Esport : A lot of circumstances in F1 and one thing is certain. Everyone who made it there is among the best for real. OK, back to our league. You are leading and we past already half of the league. Can you win it ?

Hubert : I believe it is likely to happen as I have pretty decent lead in points but Kevin is a very strong opponent and I'm aware that even if I were to finish P2 in all the races if he wins them I might still lose my lead. I proved I can be very quick and win some races but we need to remember that if I were to lose it will be because of my fatal mistake on Monza which was the opening race. My adrenaline after not putting enough fuel out of my own mistake costed me several positions as I didn't think to clearly while fighting to keep P1 which was lost anyway. I wish I didn't fight there and accept the fact that I will lose the lead no matter what I do.

Virtual Esport : Well, a lot of circumstances again. Mistakes could happen, incidents, etc ... And most important, we think, you can fight with Kevin, and yes he is very strong as well. Hubert, thank you for the interview. It was a real pleasure ! I wish you all the best and to become a member of the eSport league. I think you can do it and we will support you as a member of our community !

Hubert : If we take into account multiple things yes 1 corner might decide our fate or even one mistake from us other driver ending our race but I'm sure we will have a strong fight till the end of the season. Thank you for the interview as well Raikon and I believe as the League will grow there will be more and more drivers coming. And I can assure you I'm not like some drivers that win the championships and leave like it happened several times in F1 history. If you are worthy champion you won't run away from defending it in the future seasons!
