Effective from 22 September 2026
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies the virtualesport.com platform (the “Platform”) uses. It supplements the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Browser storage technologies (local storage) work in a similar way. Some are needed for the site to work, others are used for analytics or advertising.
2. What we use
The Platform uses strictly necessary cookies only. They do not require consent, because without them the profile sign-in and the language choice that you request yourself cannot work (Art. 4a(4) of the Bulgarian Electronic Commerce Act). We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Profile sign-in
__Secure-authjs.session-token - keeps you signed in. Duration: up to 30 days.
__Host-authjs.csrf-token - protects the sign-in forms against abuse. Duration: until the browser is closed.
__Secure-authjs.callback-url - remembers the page to return you to after sign-in. Duration: until the browser is closed.
__Secure-authjs.pkce.code_verifier, __Secure-authjs.state, __Secure-authjs.nonce - only for sign-in with Google; they protect the sign-in process. Duration: up to 15 minutes or until the browser is closed.
Language
NEXT_LOCALE - remembers the chosen language (Bulgarian or English). Duration: until the browser is closed.
Local storage in the browser
remembering that you chose to load the Twitch stream, so that we do not ask you every time;
a draft of a result being entered - for Platform administrators only.
3. Third-party services
Twitch stream
The Twitch player is loaded only after you press the button to load the stream. When it loads, Twitch Interactive, Inc. (USA) may set its own cookies and receive your IP address. These are governed by the Twitch cookie notice. If you do not load the player, you can watch the stream directly on Twitch.
Sign-in with Google
When you press “Continue with Google”, you go to a Google page. Cookies there are governed by Google’s policy. If you do not use this sign-in, Google receives no data from the Platform.
4. How to manage cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings (usually under “Privacy” or “Cookies”). If you block the strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in and the site will be shown in the default language.
5. Changes
If we start using analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for your consent in advance, with the option to refuse, and will update this policy.
